Laura was diagnosed with a condition known as Celiac Disease, which is partly due to an abnormal reaction to gluten ( the sticky, storage protein, found in wheat, rye and barley). thus began Laura’s challenge of finding a breakfast cereal which would not only be gluten-free but tasty, healthy and nutritious at the same time.

Buckwheat and millet form the basis of Laura’s Muesli, and whilst most grains are acid-forming, these two are technically not grains but fruit seeds and are considered alkaline and should be included as a part of an eating plan to combat excess acidity. Chronic metabolic acidity often results due to inflammation somewhere in the body and is linked to conditions such as arthritis, auto-immune conditions, candidiasis, gout, arteriosclerosis etc.

Laura’s Gluten Free Muesli is fully vegan and contains all the essential amino acids required for optimum health, furthermore, the rutin found in buckwheat is a bioflavonoid and is excellent for high blood pressure, varicose and hardening of the arteries.
